Professional Experience
Jim took an oath to “Protect and Serve” when he graduated from the Philadelphia Policy Academy in 1999. After serving a three-year assignment in Philadelphia’s notorious 26 th district, Jim had the opportunity to join the Bensalem Township Police Department. Jim led a distinguished law enforcement career serving Bensalem Township. During his tenure, he quickly advanced through the ranks from Patrol Officer, Corporal, Sergeant of Patrol Division to Detective-Sergeant of the Criminal Investigation Division. Jim’s service to the community was rewarded with being honored as the Rotary Officer of the Year in 2016.
Jim was promoted to the Bensalem Police Command Staff in 2018 as a Lieutenant and installed as the Patrol Operations Commander responsible for twelve (12) frontline supervisors and forty-eight (48) patrol officers. The year before his formal retirement in February 2024, Jim had transitioned to a new role as Administrative Service Commander overseeing the BTPD Communications Unit, School Security and Resources, Animal Control, the Police Activities League (PAL) and the Drug Resistance Education Program (D.A.R.E.).
After twenty-five years of upholding the police oath, Jim is now going to “Protect and Serve” in his new role at Valley Financial Group. His new role does not require a badge, but it does require he put the needs of his clients first and protect the assets they have earned over their careers. Valley Financial Group is a financial fiduciary for its clients, and Jim is excited to help protect his clients’ best interests as an Investment Advisor Representative. As a licensed Series 65 Advisor, he provides investment and financial advice to protect the retirement assets of the firm’s clients.
